Mwamba Conservation Project
KENYA
Nearly all communities living along coastal East Africa rely heavily on the sea for their existence. Yet their unsustainable and destructive activities are putting their livelihoods and the oceans at risk.
Our Marine Conservation Project was set up in 2004 to help change attitudes and behaviours of the local communities, helping them move towards more sustainable practices and preserve natural resources for the benefit of wildlife and future generations. This initiative focuses on hands on conservation, education and community involvement.
